SR 366
Geotechnical exploration, engineering,
and other design services for resloping and rock fall mitigation
along SR 366 in Graham County, AZ.
SGS's initial responsibilty was to
explore rock cuts above the highway that would be involved in rock
fall mitigation.
To accomplish this, during 1998 -
2000, SGS performed geotechnical mapping, photographic documentation
of rock conditions, core drilling and logging, fracture measurements,
rock strength testing, and various other analyses related to rock
excavation methods and slope kinematic stability.
During 2001, SGS received a scope
of work modification to include exploration for retaining walls
and roadway realignments to afford greater separation between cut
slope and travel lanes.
Presently, SGS personnel are still
providing technical assistance with this project.
